Polishing Your Professional Edge program contains four courses which include: Becoming an Accountable Professional, Becoming More Professional through Business Etiquette, Becoming Your Own Best Boss, and Developing a Personal Accountability Framework.

This e-learning module explores John Howard's 18th-century prison reform work and connects it to the modern principles of restorative justice. It highlights how Howard's firsthand experiences led him to advocate for humane and rehabilitative treatment of prisoners. The module then shows how the John Howard Society of Nova Scotia (JHSNS) continues this legacy today, using a human-centered approach to help individuals through various programs focused on reintegration, housing, and life skills. Essentially, it links historical advocacy for penal reform with contemporary efforts to repair harm and support individuals in the justice system.

This course provides a foundational understanding of Peer Support, emphasizing its core principles and how shared lived experiences empower individuals on their recovery journeys. It equips participants with the essential insights to grasp this unique, transformative approach to support.
